I Recommend Doing These 5 Volleyball Setting Drills At Home Every Day

If you need to improve your setting hands touch on the ball and your setting accuracy to your target then do these volleyball setting drills at home everyday.

In the above video watch one of our setting drills volleyball players and my clients work on in warmups

Side setting is a very valuable skill to have as a player. Being able to side set the ball will get you out of some sticky situations when you can't fully face the ball to set it the way you would normally.

I always include room for 3-4 minutes of side setting reps in my warmup drills with standing side sets and jump setting which is something to definitely include in your solo volleyball setting drills at home.

Volleyball Setting Drills At Home Side Setting Drills Volleyball Clients Do With A Partner Or Against the Wall

Side setting reps…have you worked on these yet?

This three person drill has the middle person completely facing one of the side walls while the outside players face each other.

Working on ..

  • precision.. getting the ball to the intended target.. without making the target move.

  • Developing side setting strength so we can push the ball longer distances across the court.
  • Dropping the inside shoulder that the ball travels over making sure it’s not too far in front or too far behind you when it leaves your hands.
