The Coach April Difference

As a former world-class athlete and USA Volleyball High Performance coach, I bring a unique perspective to your college preparation:

1. International Experience:

I'm familiar with various international training methods, offering diverse options to my clients.

2. USA Volleyball Connection:

My experience as a High Performance evaluator/coach means I understand what it takes to compete at the highest levels.

3. College-Level Insight:

I maintain connections with college programs, ensuring my training aligns with current collegiate expectations.

Who Benefits from My Elite Volleyball Trainer Skills?

My elite volleyball training is ideal for:

1. High school players aiming to make their varsity roster

2. Athletes training at a higher intensity level to prep for college

3. College players staying in shape during summer breaks

During my Breakfast Club for College Players summer training for college players in Vegas home for the summer we work on partner jump float serving technique where two servers at a time in two different lines serve behind Zone 1 and Zone 5 to a designated spot on the opposing court.

Pairs work together to get the ball "in" and if one player in the serving pair misses their serve neither of the two score a point for their team.

So no point for the two people serving and no point for the team they represent so the pressure feels like its double the weight.

The more we do this drill the more the server feels the weight of making their serve in.

4. Players training for Junior National or USA High Performance teams

Real-World College Preparation

My elite volleyball training often includes:

1. Structured practices focusing on technique progression

3. Leadership development through focused communication exercises

Elite Volleyball Trainer Coach April: Simulating College Practices

My private volleyball coaching often incorporates drills that mimic college practices, helping you adapt to increased intensity.

I create structured practices that focus on technique and begin with the breakdown of the very basic skills and gradually progress to the more complex aspects of each basic skill - to insure good technical habits.

Elite Volleyball Trainer Coach April:
Current College Connections

My ongoing work with college players ensures my private coaching reflects the most effective trends in collegiate volleyball.

For several years, I was a USA Volleyball High Performance evaluator/coach - one of the coaches who helps identify, rank and rate talented players that should proceed through the USA Volleyball pipeline to try out for USA National and Junior national teams who can potentially represent the United States in international competition.

I was an assistant coach at the USA High Performance Championships in Fort Lauderdale Florida in 2016 coaching and mentoring a team with extremely promising young talent and some of the best junior players in the United States.

I teach - the current techniques used by the United States Women's National team and Girls Youth National team as well as International systems used by the Italian National team and other top European nations as well as the "old school traditional way" which seems to still be effective in certain circumstances.

As a former world class athlete I'm familiar with different international training methods and can offer various options to my clients.

Elite Volleyball Trainer Coach April:
3. Personalized Approach With Constant Feedback

Each private coaching session is tailored to your specific goals and the demands of your target college programs.

I ask my clients for feedback on the particular styles their specific college coach may want them to use...from the starting position of a particular skill to how they eventually have to contact the ball..

Collegiate level skills differ among different college programs and so I make sure my client feels comfortable doing the skill the way they know their coach instructs them to do it, even if that may be a little different than how I would coach my team to do it.

This is important because as you move to the next level there can be different ways of doing basic skills and what's important with college players may be different than what's important to me as a coach.

The secret to my successful way of coaching is to talk throughout the entire practice reminding players on each ball how to move and what to watch without having them stop and get cold so they develop multiple skills of listening, playing and following directions, all at the same time.
