The AVCA has created a Watch List for its 2024 Division I Player of the Year Award, presented by Nike Volleyball.
The inaugural list, which was revealed Sept. 20, included 36 players. The committee added an 16 other players in mid-October — indicated with * after their last names below. The Watch List will be narrowed down in November.
The last step is revealing the names of the finalists, which will be released before the AVCA Convention. Then, the 2024 AVCA Player of the Year will be announced on Friday, Dec. 20, in Louisville, KY, during the Convention. (avca.org)
There are more than 330 womens college volleyball teams in Division I, and there aren't very many places where you can find inspiring news and information about all the teams in one place.
I am trying to change that, especially for Vegas players looking for information on what to expect after high school.

Every year Volleyball Magazine, one of the most popular volleyball magazines in the United States publishes a list of their picks of the best players in the country who they think should be called "All American".
You will find a series of videos where you get a sense of who the players really are, how they think and the type of hard work they put in to be the best player on the court.

Watch the fun during collegiate media day picture sessions.
College volleyball photo shoot day.
Its the one day before preseason competition begins, that you get to put makeup on, do your hair and come to practice...really pretty, why?
Most NCAA volleyball teams hold media day hosted by the university's sports information department where team, individual player and small group pictures are taken for posters, autographing signing sessions, team calendars and more.
Each preseason, NCAA volleyball teams take team pictures to produce volleyball posters which feature the team's new season schedule.
Volleyball posters for collegiate teams have traditionally been a way to showcase the new season schedule.

Every year after collegiate Division I teams finish their training season in August they participate in four weeks of preseason tournaments.
Starting from the last week in August until the last week in September teams travel across the country to compete against non-conference opponents in tournaments that help prepare players for their regular season competition.
Many teams will host one or two of their own invitational or classic tournaments annually where they invite in-state and/or out-of-state non-conference rivals for two or three-day events which gives them an opportunity to practice the tactics and schemes they learned during training camp.
