The College Volleyball Poster Is Created During NCAA Team Photo Shoots

Each preseason, NCAA volleyball teams take team pictures to produce volleyball posters which feature the team's new season schedule

The college volleyball poster for collegiate teams has traditionally been a way to showcase the new season schedule.

Using gorgeous volleyball photos and images of team players, posters are signed and distributed to fans and autograph seekers on "Media Day" or "Meet the Team" day and used as promotional material, giveaways and  keepsakes to hype up and encourage or remind fans to come to team matches.  

The volleyball poster ideas trend started as a graphic design contest among producers and creators of collegiate football posters, and in the last few years popularity has grown in the production and creation process of collegiate volleyball color photography posters. 

Check out the planning and organization that takes place in this video of Missouri's Molly Kreklow and Lisa Henning setting and hitting for the photographer at the photo shoot for the 2012 Mizzou Volleyball posters. The photo shoot took place on June 6, 2012 at the Hearnes Center, the Tigers' home court.









Annual contests have been created so that creators and designers can enter their latest volleyball poster ideas every year and compare them against other  pictures of volleyball images on posters for a chance to win bragging rights and popularity credits or just be named 'Best Poster of the Year.'

Many of these volleyball practice drills you can do at home by yourself or try at your next practice with your teammates.

If you're a B team or JV player trying to make varsity next year...your goal should be to complete 1000 reps a day of at least three of the basic skills on your own...volleyball passing, serving and setting should be at the top of the list.
