My Essential Volleyball Equipment List Has Uniforms, Gear and Supplies
My essential volleyball equipment list includes things a player needs to compete in my practices, your games or tournaments for both indoor or sand competition.
I've provided this volleyball equipment list for new and current clients who need a quick reference to access or shop for NEW practice gear, uniform wear, essential and non essential supplies used during practices games or tournament competition.
I'm coaching my Pop Up Passing classes for experienced club players (any club) ages 13/14 and 15/16 during the month of March 2025.

Drills are the secret or not-so-secret ingredient to making my practices and players better.
The opportunity to do 1000 reps of a skill at every opportunity possible, is what it takes to make your varsity team, your club team, your collegiate team.

The drills we do, are usually done at a faster pace so you can get more touches and repetitions on the ball.
Performing many repetitions of a skill in a short amount of time, if taught correctly, will you improve your volleyball playing at a faster rate.
When I teach skills, I talk less so you can do more.
That's what drills are all about, progress and improvement. The first time might not feel or look so good. But each time after that, as long as you can see you are making progress you can feel the improvement, then you're on the right road.
The drills section is one of my favorites and it should be yours too.
Frequently updated, I include videos of drills from my favorite coaches with explanations of how I run my versions of the same drill.
Get ahead of the game, come back often to find out how super successful collegiate coaches run their drills and listen in as they talk about what makes their players successful.
What Volleyball Equipment Do You Need When Training With Coach April
- Players need to wear volleyball or court shoes with a good grip
- Kneepads are mandatory
- Tshirts must have sleeves, no cutout shirts
- Players need to bring a water/water bottle
- Players will be divided according to skill level
- No jewelry, no hanging earrings or necklaces that extend beyond the chin
- Be prepared to sweat and work hard!
