I spotlight a select group of 8 extremely impressive prep volleyball players.
Many have won tons of titles and awards including the Gatorade National Player of the Year award, the Honda Award and even the first AAU Sullivan Award.
I created this page in hopes that young players like yourself will be motivated and inspired after seeing what is possible to achieve at such a young age.
Discover what Gatorade has to say about these young winners.

Note to the reader!
No, you are not seeing things. The Gatorade Player of the Year press release is a template.
Every year, regardless of who wins, the same wording is used in certain parts of the release.
How does Gatorade pick the national player of the year each year?
From the Gatorade Player of the Year website....
The Gatorade Player of the Year program annually recognizes one winner in the District of Columbia and each of the 50 states that sanction high school football, girls volleyball, boys and girls cross country, boys and girls basketball, boys and girls soccer, baseball, softball, and boys and girls track & field, and awards one National Player of the Year in each sport.
The selection process is administered by the Gatorade high school sports leadership team in partnership with the Gatorade Player of the Year Selection Committee, which work with top sport-specific experts and a media advisory board of accomplished, veteran prep sports journalists to determine the state winners in each sport.
