In 2013 I created 16 volleyball designs featuring animals that best represented the traits exhibited by players who play in certain positions, like the libero, outside hitter, middle blocker, defensive specialist or opposite.

As a former professional left side hitter I knew I'd absolutely have to include the awesome kangaroo.

A natural born competitor in the wild, I included the kangaroo as a motivational spirit animal in my designs thanks to the characteristics they exhibit in their natural surroundings. 

A big jumper, Resee is known for her vertical jump which often helped her put her hands on the ball before the opposing block did. These make great additions to your back to school outfits.

Kangaroos are amazing creatures with natural athletic ability. Not only can they jump high but they run fast...reaching speeds of up to 50mph a row can outrun some racehorses.

So if you were a kangaroo that was five feet tall you'd potentially have the ability to jump as high as fifteen feet!

• Kangaroos cannot walk backwards only forwards. They can walk on all four legs that they have or they hop around using their back two legs.

• Speaking of their back legs, a kangaroos hind legs are used to jump very high and they are used for kicking. They are so powerful that a kick from an adult kangaroo can kill a grown man. 

When they fight kangaroos are known to punch and to kick.

• Roos can grow as tall as 6 feet 4 inches and live as long as 20 years
• They are herbivores which means they eat grass and they live in Australian desert and grasslands

• Kangaroos stay together in groups of about 50. They groups are called troops or herds. 

• The mother kangaroo has a pouch on her stomach made of skin where she carries her baby kangaroo which is called a 'joey."

• Newborn joeys travel around in their mothers pouch at about ten months old when its able to leave the push permanently

The Volleybragswag Volleyball TShirt Logos

I created the signature Volleybragswag ball while working with a designer who originally started out by just creating a word logo. 

I thought the word logo by itself was unremarkable and boring. 

But a word ball...now that's one of the most interesting volleyball t shirt ideas created for a logo. 

The ball is our trademarked logo and appears in all of our Volleybragswag volleyball t shirt ideas and designs in one way or another.
